Thrifty Filofaxing-

There is a fantastic website out there called she has some of the cutest and simplest free printable designs I’ve seen! I wanted to use some of the fun shapes and pictures in my Filofax so downloaded them and then cut them out to be used as stick-in notes. Here are her Teapots:

How cute are they?!?! Seriously. Free!

Printed out… even with handy-dandy cut lines already on there for you…

I used my exacto Pen knife to cut out the tiny hole next to the teapot handle!

Whip out some of your cutest washi tape and TA-DAAAAAA!

Again, for free. πŸ™‚

She has other great shapes as well- flowers:

Old-fashioned jars:

(anyone feeling ready for Fall after looking at those?!…)

I keep a few of each on a homemade envelope in the front of my Filofax.

Cuteness awaits. πŸ™‚

Holiday Ideas- Fall Stick-In Lists/Notes

Y’all know I love me some fun to-do lists. And here are a few more of my creations for the Fall season! First, I found this great small pad of Autumn-themed papers at Michael’s and knew I could make something cute from them… I generally try and look for paper colors and patterns that I know lighter colored pens will show up on, as I like to use colors to write, not always black.

I cut each page in half vertically- you get twice the pages. I will never use these all this year, so there will be plenty for next Fall! Then, using some of my Autumn washi tape and stickers I created the following… Loving these!

Candy Corn

Snoopy & Leaf Washi

Leaves & Stripes

I better get using these up as it’s almost December and I’m going to want Christmas in my Filo-

Happy List-making!

Washi- Thrifty Traveling Tape

In my ongoing quest to take as much of my “fun” stuff with me while on the road for work (fun= things I would want to buy while away, but am drowning in at home in my office) I have seen loads of people come up with travel solutions for their washi.
So I am not the first.

But I did still think that you would enjoy seeing the washi I’m currently traveling with, and how I came up with a Thrifty way to get it out the door in a contained and organized fashion!

I see these cards everywhere I go now… Coffee, food, restaurants, bars- heck, even the library and post office have random things like these. I’m sure you all know what I’m talking about.

Expired gift cards. Old store cards. Or (don’t tell anyone!) a cute card that you see that they are letting people take for free. And these are a few of the ones I had lying around…

Aforementioned adorable new seasonal washi tape:

Still loving the Candy Corns…

And leaves……. and footballs….. πŸ™‚

And here they are transferred over. I tried to go by theme, but wanted to get the most real estate out of each card.

Christmas, as I’m away till December!

All the new rolls that I’m packing in my suitcase/Filofax these days:

Quick Tip- Post Office Tags!

Here is quick tip for all of you…

I find going to the Post Office to be something that I have to do often. And it’s hard to remember to get there when I’m busy doing things at home all day! But I do check my Filofax- and if there is a reminder in there, I’m much more likely to remember. So I created a tag! Of course. πŸ™‚

I designed a little envelope (see my tag tutorial here), printed them out, cut them and now they are all ready for the days I need to head to the Post Office!

Aren’t they cute!?

Happy Organizing!

Mondays with OperaGirl- November 18, 2014

Good Morning New York!
(Yes, I’m in New York.)

Doesn’t that coffee look delectable?…Mmmmmm…

Β It’s been an absolutely CRAZY CRAZY (did I mention crazy?!) couple of weeks, but another week is beginning and another Monday is here- fresh, new, clean, with all kinds of promise.

“I have to be alone very often. I’d be quite happy if I spent from Saturday night until Monday morning alone in my apartment. That’s how I refuel.”
-Audrey Hepburn

I love that quote; and I’m absolutely convinced that part of the reason I love Mondays stems from the fact that Ms. Hepburn has just described my existence. ESPECIALLY when I’m working.
There is someone who needs something from you virtually every moment of the day from when I leave the house until I arrive home again, these days when it’s already been long dark. I’m drained in every way possible. And then, over the weekend, I get to spend time in the quiet of my little abode and refuel myself doing all the things that I love. Or NOT doing things. πŸ™‚

Mr. W and I watched a LOT of Football…

Go HAWKS!!! We slept in. Ate pizza. Laughed & did some reading. And I feel ready to face today and this week! What else is happening today? I’m still posting about the update to my new website (for work):

And I’m loving some Autumn Themed to-do lists. πŸ™‚
